ok seriously.... fuck OFF
this company is doing a seriously dirty deed, they just keep releasing a better version of the figure each time, practically expecting that you already locked into preordering the last one... sigh. do I plead with amiami to cancel swimsuit #2 tohru and then shoot for this one? wtf

Jenthehen (24天前) #70279119She's not supposed to come apart - QC mistake. You could try gluing??
That's what I figured, but wanted to be sure! I actually considered gluing her back when I found the leg was loose, but it would now be easier to properly glue since it came all the way off. If she doesn't sell then I may try doing that.

moonstarfc (24天前) #70279113I do have one other question:
A buyer inquired about this figure and when I took it out to take photos, the loose leg actually fell off.
It looks kind of like how some figures have pegs inside the legs and are designed to come apart, but I haven't seen any photos of anyone taking her apart, and I don't see any comments about it.
Regardless, even when I push the leg back on as hard as I can, it's still wobbly and loose.
I assume this is some type of QC mistake, but maybe I'm just expecting too much from FOTS quality?
These are the photos:

Jenthehen (1個月前) #69981093You are the first one I've heard of getting a broken one of her :( That really sucks!
To be fair, there are always a few unlucky folks who end up with QC issue figures (even from GSC - who at least is good about replacements, Alter, etc.)
Mostly I was just fighting against the misconception that this figure (and their other PVC figures) are like their original PMMA figures that were hiiiiighly fragile and impossible to be shipped without breaking to pieces in the shoddy packaging. Fots / B'Full has really come around on this, though, and the issues are diminishing rapidly!

Guess I was one of the extra unlucky ones.

Jenthehen (1個月前) #69862327Literally no one has received this figure broken. It’s an extremely well made, gorgeous PVC figure (basically one of Pulchra’s under B’fill and one of their best.)
You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about ... can’t believe people are still out here flinging mid at Fots - especially at one of their best figures.
Sour grapes.

To put it out there, if anyone wants to buy her off me for a cheaper price, PM me. I probably won't be buying FOTS again. The leg could probably stay in place with some glue.Sold.

EsmeAllan (1個月前) #69862783Solaris Japan LITERALLY has a warning on the pages for all of FOTS figures. Including this one:
solarisjapan.co...
If that's not damning, I don't know what is.

Solaris automatically puts that a a CYA catch all on all Fots figures since the first few had so many issues with the fragile material of their 3D print figures not being packaged well at all. Probably bc *I* requested they open the Overall JS figure and add protective material when I ordered after seeing her come broken for everyone.

Solaris doesn’t bother to distinguish between their 3D print figures and their PVC figures which I’ve said many times before seem to look exactly like Pulchra PVC figures and I guarantee will not come broken - they are just regular PVC figures in a regular standard clamshell package.

Also, after changing the material and improving their packaging, though still having some different issues for SOME folks (which most of the retailers have sent replacements for), the figures do not break as easily. I always post a bunch of photos of a Fots and Insight figures.

The only reason I try to correct the overly generalized hate on these figures is that some do seem to skyrocket or increase in price OR become very difficult to even find in the aftermarket.

Carrotpie (1個月前) #69862248i would not spend 1 dime on this manufacturer unless you have glue laying around and dont mind recieving your stuff broken

Well, there's that too. This company seems to have trumped ol' Griffon Enterprises in being shit.
