I see, interesting to know she isn't available in Japan much either. That does point to her not being preordered much. I still find it weird people didn't buy her, as she came with two faces, wasn't all that expensive for what she was, and has the best post and sculpt of the Rins (IMO). I wish Wing would do a re-release for her, as this is a great figure and more people should get access to it for not BS scalper prices, but AFAIK they don't do them. Which sucks.
That's me lol. Love Rin and have many of her figures, when this came up I thought I could find it easily aftermarket and now kicking myself. I personally like GSC's pose more, but it's annoying that I could've pre-ordered this back then but didn't haha.

Yeah, though I think it's possible that more people wanted to pre-order, but the amount of pre-orders was limited by Wings themselves due to their production resources possibly being limited because they aren't that big of a company, which is evident by the number of figures they've produced over the years. But it's definitely highly likely that a shit ton of people probably just had that GSC UBW Rin figure, liked it better and didn't see a point in ordering this one. Personally, I like GSC's Rin a bit more too, but I don't think Wings' is any worse. Definitely a really great figure like you said and a big shame for its current market situation and lack of rerelease. Also really wish Wings changed their policy and made a rerelease.

There's no way to know for sure, but considering that she isn't often sold even in Japan, I suppose there probably just weren't that many pieces of her made, which leads to her being kinda rare and nowadays sold for a bs scalped price both in Japan and Globally due to that. Nothing special or new for a figure market really.

I remember when she went up for preorder, and she was standard release. I would think, given it's Rin, and a good one at that, she would have been preordered a lot/purchased a lot. Was she passed over more than you'd think, or is it just that everyone who has her doesn't want to sell her, as I said? Legit question: Why is this Rin so hard to come by? Are people just not selling her?

Keep hope alive.
