If the figure is really having a manufacturer's defect and it is released more than 1 year, you have to understand even the manufacturer such as good smile company won't be responsible so do the seller herself.
I am not side with anyone but it is common practice for selling a old figure. The best is to pay extra and to have insurance on shipment so you can claim for broken item.

I understand there can be issues with a figure that is no fault of the seller. Still, a good seller isn’t going to receive images from an upset buyer of a broken figure and not try to remedy the situation. PayPal told me to send the figure back. Based off images and the situation of it being unopened, I was told I would get a refund. I provided shipment info. So, PayPal is to blame for a good portion of this. They could have denied me and told me to just keep the figure. When all is said and done, I received a damaged figure. PayPal buyer protection covers that, if the seller is refusing to come to an agreement. She didn’t want to come to an agreement, which is part one of not being a trusty seller. Part two is accepting the figure after it was delivered and keeping all my $$$. I am a seller, and that is horrendous. I would never accept a figure back that someone paid for and not at least give them partial compensation, regardless of an argument or the situation. It’s theft. Regardless of who is to blame, it is theft. I have paid $400 and have nothing. I’m not done with it, yet. I am going to contact the Bureau of Consumer Protection, so that they can go after PayPal. I just had to ensure that it was delivered first. I’m done with PayPal.
