I thought about filing as well, but I didn't have the materials and would have to buy them later on if they didn't end up staying in place. Thankfully, 4 months in, so far so good. *knocks on wood* I occasionally shake the bookcase it stands on while dusting, but I'm still extra careful about it. I still don't know what to do when I move hahah
I think if they didn't make the pegs metal, there was no way those could stand that much pressure.
I applied olive oil creams to my fingertips for a few days after this - what a struggle just for a figure assembly.
GSC definitely could have done better with that part, it can't be that hard to notice something like this during quality checks.

Haha I'm nervous about knocking her too! She's a wee bit wobbly at times. Honestly if I ever move and bring her with me, I'm getting someone to hold her in the car so I don't have to reassemble that damn hair lmaoo

But yeah totally agree there's no way this couldn't have been noticed during production. I saw a few ppl mention that the actual pegs for theirs were misshapen too! Overall it ended up okay but I genuinely felt like I was gonna snap the pointy parts of her fringe at stages I was gripping her damn head so tight. Completely right about the metal I have no doubts it would've snapped otherwise.

Despite it all she's a gorgeous figure and I hope she serves your shelf well! And good luck with future moving hahaa

Rushnn3個月前#95660101Came here to say the same thing!! It was SO hard to get in. I got the left one in with some struggle but I actually had to file the hole for the right piece because it WOULD NOT fit. I could barely get 1/3rd of it in and I was using PRESSURE. After filing it a bit I got most of it in with a tiny part of it sticking out but not very noticeable. Eventually managed to jam it in, thank god I didn't break anything omg. The left one also Haa a tiny bit sticking out but sure. What can ya do. My hands were BRIGHT red afterwards it was such a struggle!!

flyingteapot7個月前#87729253The hair was so SO hard to put in place! I'm surprised to see so few comments on it! I checked the search and someone wrote how it only entered two thirds of the way - I think mine also happened a bit like that. Still not sure how long it will stay together, I hope it does! I'm kinda thinking about how will this work out when I dust or move...
Except that issue, the figure looks amazing when assembled. I'm so glad I didn't give up and went for the variant version. I placed it on top of a bookshelf and it looks majestic from a high place like that.
...But seriously, my hands are all red from that hair! My heart dropped every time those pieces fell off. This assembly issue keeps happening with big GSC figures (another example is ITEM #549417) and I'm starting to doubt their final checks, these things shouldn't be THIS hard to put together.
