Akatsuki no Yona ~FC
~for the fans of Yona and her followers~
The story revolves around Yona, the sole princess of the Kingdom of Kouka. Like princesses in general, she lives a happy life in the castle filled with luxury with her father, King Il; her Bodyguard, Son Hak; and her cousin and love interest, Soo-won. However, everything changed on the night of her sixteenth birthday. Intending to tell her father that she cannot forget her love for Soo-won, she visits his room, only to witness her father killed by Soo-won, who reveals that he will become the king. With Hak's help, they escaped from the castle to Hak's birthplace, Village of Wind. Under the suggestion of Hak's grandfather Son Mundok, Yona and Hak search for the priest, Ik-soo, who tells them about the legend of the first king of Kouka, Hiryuu, and the four dragons. Yona and Hak, joined by Ik-soo's assistant Yun, decide to travel around the country to find the four legendary dragons in order to survive and save the Kingdom of Kouka.

It's just so depressing because there isn't even much merch or pins out there to make a nice ita bag. :/
And mmyep I'm a minority here. xD
EDIT: And within the last two days, eLicense claimed all YouTube videos of said ending theme, region-locking them. To think that if I'd been a couple days later, I may have never discovered this manga/anime.
You're not alone! My friend recommended Akatsuki no Yona to me, but it was the fact that Shikata Akiko did the second ED that encouraged me to watch. (And okay, I'm a fan of historical fantasy.) Hi, fellow Shikata fan!
And can we have official figures for AkaYona T_T
Also has anyone watched the newest OVA? Zeno T_T

I'm so happy I gave it a chance. :) I hope they make a second season too, there is enough manga material to use. The manga is great! I totally recommend reading it.
Love this anime! I picked up the manga pretty quickly, since the anticipation of waiting for new episodes was getting to me. It's become a new favourite of mine.
I just recently sent a request to GSC begging them for Akatsuki no Yona figures. :3 Just thinking about it makes me drool.
It was an awsome anime, i'm so hoping for a second season. I am tempted to buy the manga since i am sure the story will go on? Lets hope GSC will listen to your reguest
