    Kirenisa I am a collector!
If you're extremely worried about it perhaps invest in a window ac unit? They're cheaper than having a house unit installed. Also if it gets to hot and if you don't pay for water.. shut all of the windows and open all the doors except the one that go outside.. then run the shower on max cold water and place a big fan inside the door of the bathroom it'll cool your place down some. (Of course this isn't something you should leave running but you could do this during the peak of the heat if you're at home that is.

But uhm.. most figures in my experience can hold up to heat decently.. just make sure if they're in a box to air them out now and again or open your display case so they can breath better. I think worse case is older nendoroids / figures will get sticky sometimes.. I think it has to be extremely hot for figures to melt. However over time it may cause some issues maybe..? I'm no expert so I can't give you an answer outside of what I've experienced since I didn't have ac up until last year.

Aurora08 (11個月前) #22353217like what cases on figures? it depends on their quality? How about the one foot on the base figures? they look like they can't stand on heat.

I meant that some figures have more tendency to leaning while others have a very few cases of leaning. Quality have nothing to do with it, neither the pose. It's all about if the leg parts have been reinforced with ABS or if it's pure PVC and if the peg of the figure can handle the weight of the figure. You'll notice on most pages of figures that are leaner by the comments if they lean or not.

solluxcaptor (11個月前) #22348310I'm having the same fears lately, A/C isn't really a thing in England (well obviously it exists but almost nobody owns it in their home) and I hope all my figures can survive the heat better off than me considering there is a heatwave right now.
Omg! that's exactly what I'm thinking! A/C is also not a thing in CA, but climate is changing, summer is intensely hot now. As you said the heatwave is there especially when I'm driving. Looks cool sometimes hahahaha coz it's everywhere but when I go outside the car, it's not cool anymore

BloodFlower (11個月前) #22344656It could affect figures known to leaning, they're usually a bit more sensitive to heat than others. But the only thing that'll happen that they might start leaning a bit more than usual and it's a big case to case basis on those.

murialita (11個月前) #22347193I've got two letters for you: A/C.
Of course, not everyone has it. Should that be the case, I recommend passing on a couple figures and buying at least a window unit instead.
Of course, even that is not possible for everyone due to apartment rules and various reasons. So in that case, keep them away from windows, close the curtains, and buy a fan. The figs "should" be fine, though old or lower quality ones may be more subject to leaning.

we do have a big window instead of A/C, but in summer it's useless, but the figures are away from sunlight/window.

hitagicrab27 (11個月前) #22341861Shouldn't be a problem, really. It gets pretty hot in Chicago too, like around 100+ but it never gave me problems figure-wise. No direct sunlight helps out a LOT.
yeah yeah, I'm glad it got cooler at night, but yesterday was intensely hot.

Aurora08 (11個月前) #22337621Ohhh my thank god it's just 104F. Is that the melting point of pvc?

If it's 104F in your room, I think you've got more things to worry about than figures...
