Hello there MFC, I am more of a lurker these days but after I posted my picture of my Jibril Great War Ver. B-style

I got a few DMs asking me how I did this so I thought why not make an article on the matter. Now, I did not use the category "tutorial" because it really isn't one. I do not have pictures of any steps I did (just some very disturbing figure gore) so I will just talk about my experiences and what I did/used to do this. Maybe it will help someone. :)
Here is also a few more angles of my Jibril:

1. How often have I done this before so far?
Twice! I did it on the before mentioned Jibril ITEM #1020925 and also Rem ITEM #1123294. (don't worry Ram will follow as well) I have done Rem first and Jibril second. On Rem I did learn a few things but obviously my Jibril is not perfect either. I am planing on doing this many more times in the future as I am just too cheap to pay certain aftermarket prices.

2. What did I use?
1. A LOT of hand strength. seriously, this is very hard to do
2. Warm/hot water
3. Something to soak your figure in. I used my bathroom sink.
4. Glue. I used hot glue and a gel super glue.
5. Fishnets. (duh) I used some BJD stockings from Aliexpress.
Optional: gloves to protect your hands from the heat.
3. What did I do?
1. Removing the limbs:
I started off by soaking the legs in hot water for... I would say 10-15 minutes. Then I would just try to pretty much "crack" off the limbs/shoes. If you feel like you cannot get any further with it, soak again. For the shoes you want to try pretty much peeling them off. To really get the hot water to soften the glue better you can try to hold it under water as you try to remove it. Like this the hot water will get into the openings you already created.
Side note: I highly recommend taking off the shoes first! Depending on the material of the figure the legs soften a lot when warmed up, so when you try to remove the shoes there will be bending from the force you are using. So when you remove the shoes first, you can ensure you can bend everything back into place while the legs are still on. Trust me, I learned the hard way with Jibril, her one leg is still not properly touching the surface. ;)
After I had finally managed to beast off the legs and shoes my hands were HURTING. Especially with Rem as she is rather awkward to hold as her arm accessoires are very spikey which does not make for a good grip. In the process I also by accident removed her ribbons on the headband but they were easy to glue back on. My two victims without their legs (and Rem without... pretty much everything taken off of her)

2. Attaching stockings:
Once everything was bend back to where it should be (or so I thought) and dried off I did a fitting of my stockings on the legs. The ones I got are a little too loose on the ankles, so I handsewed them smaller directly on the leg. I just flipped them inside out to do this.
When everything was in place and fitting how it is supposed to I pulled everything very firm and knotted the top of the stocking. I cut the excess off but really there is enough space for it to fit into the leg holes.
3. Glue everything back on:
I glued on the shoes first using hot glue. To make sure nothing overflows as it is a mess to clean up the rule is: less is more. I pushed them on very firmly and held for a bit to really make sure they fit perfectly back on. Just to be sure I let them dry overnight.
To make sure I get the legs back on perfectly I did a few dry fittings first. The legs have very distinct ridges for assembly. Once I felt confident getting them where they need to be, on the first try without much error, I applied the glue. I used some very heavy duty superglue that drys very fast so I had to be quick. Again, I held everything into place for a bit to make sure it really all is in there. I did not let them rest overnight as the bond felt strong enough already. As nothing has fallen off yet I think I am all fine in not doing so. ;)
4. Conclusion:
That's pretty much how I did it! Obviously it is not perfect by any means but you live and learn. :) If any of you do attempt this yourself do not be afraid of the force you have to use or the paint chipping off. That paint will not be visible once everything is back on. Also, if you do use tools to get things off make sure everything is plastic or wood. If you want to use metal then put a thin cloth on it, as you otherwise damage the paint or plastic.
As a little bonus please enjoy my current collection of B-styles (and one BINDing bunny x)) that I own! Thank you for reading and may all of you have a nice day.

I can't stand the look of the shading of (mainly) the legs. Between screwing up and just keeping her boxed up (because looking at it makes me unhappy), there's not much difference.
Nothing much to loose I'd say.
Good luck if you do decide to do it! If you want any further advice feel free to DM me any time you like. :)
Also those are the stockings I have used for mine: a.aliexpress.co... (type 018) in the biggest length they had. I would just measure out the legs and see if they would still work for a standing one as I have not yet done one.

Thank you! :) If you need advice, feel free to PM me.
Thank you for the insight, much appreciated! I'll keep this in mind if I go through with my idea.
Depending on the figure it can be hard but just looking at Kurisu it looks rather easy. I think most important thing is getting a good grip on it which is 100% given on her. I have not measured the temperature but it should be boiling. The shoes and legs are easy to fit back on with the stockings attached as FREEing does not change/adjust the mould when doing a bare leg release from what it seems to me. However you should still make sure the material isn't too thick otherwise you might run into trouble.
You can find many bare leg bunnies very cheap on Amazon jp these days. I got Rem for 16k plus under 3k shipping. Usually a lot of them go for under 200 bucks shipped.
I am honestly too cheap to pay certain aftermarket prices which is why I started doing this. x)
