For people like me who aren't familiar with the fine details of these processes, it would be helpful to see the motions while reading on the side. ^^

I am a full time student though, so I doubt that video tutorials would be something I can take time to do consistently, but I have and will consider something of the sort when I do have more time :D For now though, I'd suggest taking a look at "Leona's Workshop" and "plumworkshop" on youtube, twitch, and their websites! A large deal of the information and stuff I've learned to do this was from them!! Thank you again!

As for tips: masking tape to get the clean edges and moving around a glob of thinned paint with a brush and letting it dry is better than brushing on the paint (if you want to avoid brush marks).
