Throwing away boxes留言 • Throwing away boxes

Believe it or not, I've resorted to hanging all my clothes on a clothesrack in my room so I can use my closet to store boxes LOL. But even then, my closet is getting quite full, and I still have 30+ on preorder and planning to order more...

Maybe there will come a day where I just like. Need to throw them out. But as long as that day isnt here yet, I'll continue to store my boxes in my closet. XDD

heartbroken to see so many boxes being thrown. On the other hand, I can understand the decision when one does not have space to display, etc..

Personally speak, I try my best to find space and keep all my boxes. However, most of my figures are still brand new in their boxes. I conclude that opening them and displaying them while throwing the boxes away is not viable since I do not have much display space in the first place. I can afford storage space in every nook and cranny of my room though.

Honestly for me, prize figures, flat pack and store, for expensive figures and Nendo's/Figma's keep intact and store. I've done it this way for years, as prize figures drop in price anyway and even without the blister if they have one it really makes no difference really. Scale figures on the other hand depending on character and rarity etc can fluctuate in the aftermarket but I have sold scales without blisters and got good prices in the past before I started storing them.

Tsumikiria (1年前) #31572117For box part, I cut off sides that has illustrations on them so I can display them alongside with the figure. The sides with photos of the figure is of no use since you have the figure to display anyway.
For blister part, I cut off their rims, and keep only the part that holds the figure together to save space in case I need to contain and/or move the figures.

This is such a good idea that it makes me scoff at the people that complain of these common threads. New people always look at the new copycat threads and add valuable information.

Anyway, I think this is exactly what I want to do. I've been keeping the blisters but they still take up a lot of space, but just keeping the blister core makes it a lot easier to stack them together in case you move out and need to protect the figures in the future.

I really wish people would stop saying once you get rid of plastic case the figure is pratically useless and worth nothing. that is not true. keep the figure boxes and buy a plastic bin and store them in there. if you need to sell the figures you can put the boxes together again and wrap the figure in plastic wrap. yes the figure is worth slightly less but ask your self this would you rather see your self becoming frustrated due to hobby rules or keep sane. most people do not live near anime/ figure like shops like mandarake or jungle were they can resale to their figure in a perfect state with plastic cases to these stores to get their money worth back. so saying all parts of the boxes have value is pointless. Some people like myself live in small space and have normie roomates who do not collect figures. so I can't freely store my figures in other rooms except my own. The same is also if people have families or significant other who do not collect. You do not have luxury of space.

I have had no problem reselling and shipping figures with no plastic cases. I do not usually keep plastic cases due to limted space but I keep boxes. just be honest up front when reselling. I think people are forgetting figures are not investments. so do what you want. just keep the boxes only if you want prove the figures is authentic.

If you've already gotten rid of the blisters, there's no reason to keep the boxes. I don't think you'll find much value if you tried to sell, and they won't help with shipping without the blister. Seems like something to throw away at this point IMHO.

I keep both, boxes and blisters
Most boxes I folded as Carefully as possible too since I also just don't have the Space to store them!

I keep them in storeage Boxes, Two large ones for Blisters and one Flat one for the Boxes
but even these take too much space... :/

I also never intended to tell anything, so I threw the boxes away. I just didn't have the space to keep them. The only thing I'd need them for right now is making it easier to identify statues I haven't found find in the database (yet).

Now that I have the storage space, I think I'll keep the boxes if I buy anything new.
