An elegant, simple and cheap solution? Absolutely brilliant! I'll definitely be using this to stack my figures :)

I just came across this because it was linked in another post! Fantastic idea, thank you!

    Gouma1年前#58078308is there transparent paper

you could try making some with this method out of thin clear plastic, like from application folders like these? If you go for one that has a sturdier clear file it should be alright. As for bending the plastic into shape - carefully carve it with an exactoknife - not too deep so it doesn't fully cut through. Since it's transparent you will see the glue fold, though.

    milkypop2年前#40953020Hi! Thanks for your comment!
    Here's my current setup:

On a side note I'll be updating the blog soon to show what clear risers made of transparent sheets look like if you want to wait to see those.
    For figma I think it'll have to be 5.5 x 2.8 x 2.8 x 5.5 x 2.8 x 2.8 (x 0.5 for gluing) cm at least or maybe even a millimetre more for each section.
I hope this helped and good luck with making your own!

That looks nice, mine looks like this right now but I'm still working on filling it more and need to make more risers but I really love the idea after trying it out, it gives also more space than the Ferrero rocher boxes imo

I can show you how it looks once it's completely done if you're interested in it

Thanks, I'll try with that sizes then if I need it
I think the round ones aren't correct btw since I needed to use 1cm for glue instead of 0,5 but I also don't quite get what you meant with the 0,6? Perhaps that was the mistake

Yeah, I'd definitely be interested in clear risers, thanks for telling me you'll update the blog with it

Hikari-chan2年前#40720688I found the blog a while ago and love the idea... Till now I used Ferrero Rocher boxes as risers but they cost a lot so this looks definitely better and nicer
Are you using a billy for your nendos? If yes, would you mind sharing a picture of the whole shelf or whole billy with me to see how it looks in full view since I'll also use a billy?
And do you think that would also work for figma if I can figure out the right way to measure it correctly?

    Hi! Thanks for your comment!
