Yeah, you are right. If I buy it before the deadline for shipping it could get some delay. I think 3~5 days are the safe enough?

Shaolan-kun (3年前) #2476250Well yes, it can be risky if you wait too long. It's better to buy it a few days before shipping (assuming you know the exact shipping date) to be on the safe side. Japanese delivery IS fast, I tell you.

GodYagami (3年前) #2476108Yeah, that could be troublesome.
But I was told they deliver it really fast, so isn't risky to wait the package being shipped to buy the ticket?

Shaolan-kun (3年前) #2476072You can, but of course you need to be careful to buy it before the package arrives. I don't know what happens otherwise: would BiJ accept the parcel and wait for a customer to claim it, or outright reject it?

GodYagami (3年前) #2475907I didn't know you could ship to BiJ and buy the ticket later. Thanks.

Cantisama (3年前) #2474858I pre-ordered Nendo Red ITEM #215491 from Amazon Japan and used BiJ to forward. Rather than buying the BiJ forwarding ticket up front, I think it's easier to wait for your Amazon Japan order to ship and then buy the forwarding ticket. That way you're safe in case your Amazon order is cancelled for whatever reason.
If you do want to buy the ticket now, I don't think you'll have a problem with BiJ losing your ticket.

I've preordered a number of times using their forwarding service (and did in fact buy the ticket at the time I preordered the items, but waiting until closer to release is a good idea too as long as you can remember to do it), and never had a problem

View spoilerHide spoilerShaolan-kun (3年前) #2474829I recently did so with a Toranoana preorder. I opted to wait buying the forwarding ticket until I got notice from the shop that the item had been shipped or was in the process of being shipped, in order to minimize the time gap you're concerned about. Of course this meant I needed to check the order status everyday to avoid being late, and Japanese mail/couriers are very efficient (my package was delivered in around 12 hours!).
Maybe the best course of action would be to postpone buying the ticket, at least until a few days before the release date, and briefly explain the situation in the comments so BiJ won't be waiting for your package before it's really due. Afterwards you can also add a message as soon as your package ships, together with the tracking number, for increased peace of mind. I did so and everything went smooth.

Thanks! That's great advice. I'll go ahead and place my Amazon order and just buy the BiJ ticket a few days before the items are released. :)
